While her main focus is portrait sketches, she has also started drawing movie scenes, and experimenting with watercolors.  Her work is continuously evolving and she hopes you stick around to witness it's growth.

Vandrea is a self taught artist who lives in the United States with over 20 years of experience working with charcoal & graphite artworks. Often she describes her shading method as "carving with values." She tends to stray away from traditional blending practices due to the intriguing effect created when shadows are allowed to be more rigid.

She attended Wentworth Institute of Technology where she was taught the fundamentals of technical drawing, color theory, use of texture, ideation, typography, and layout. After graduating, she quickly found herself integrating some of those new-found methods such as hatching into her style.

Her work is fueled by everything from inspirational figures, musicians, and athletes to people in everyday life. She is best known for hand and portrait drawings and her love for the subject was initially sparked by her 'Beautiful Stranger' series where she was focused on capturing a wide range of human emotions.
